Kapooka Aquatic Centre & Gymnasium

Group DLA was involved in this multi staged $1.4 Billion dollar project as BCA and MFPE Consultants. For this site Group DLA representatives were involved in the Aquatic centre and Gymnasium building project at Kapooka, near Wagga Wagga in NSW.

The project involved construction of a full size Aquatic centre, change room facilities, entry foyer and managers offices. The proposal also included the extension and refurbishment of the associated gymnasium and training facility.

Group DLA were engaged by S2F/ SKM to provide Building Code of Australia (BCA) and Manual of Fire Protection (MFPE) assessment throughout the design development phases of the project, including the provision of certification on behalf of the Department of Defence. Our involvement included the assessment of MFPE dispensations with coordination and liaison with the Department of Defence in Canberra, on-site inspections and issue of Completion Certification signifying BCA and MFPE compliance at the completion of works.
