Elisa brings over two decades of Access / DDA Consultancy experience. Elisa leads the Group DLA Access Business Unit and is an Accredited Access Consultant with the Association of Consultants in Access Australia (ACAA).

Elisa has extensive access consulting experience, covering a wide range of development types including major projects and heritage buildings.

Elisa has a thorough knowledge of Accessibility legislation with a functional understanding of the reasons behind the access standards. She provides practical advice on projects throughout planning, design, and construction stages to ensure reasonable access provisions for people with disability to and within the built environment.

Elisa’s approach to access consulting is informed by her previous work experience as an interior designer and with people with disability.  She recognises the importance of design as both an outcome and a process and works collaboratively with teams to identify opportunities and develop solutions to address access issues, ensure building compliance and promote choice and inclusion.

Elisa has provided access consultancy services on projects from the initial feasibility stage through to completion/occupation stage for developments that include, cultural, commercial, retail, entertainment, educational, health and aged care facilities, sports stadiums, community and government buildings, hotels, industrial and public domain projects. She has also been involved as a specialist access advisor to various organisations assisting government develop access policy.

  • Bachelor of Design (Honours) UTS, Sydney
  • Accredited Access Consultants (Member No: 198) – Association of Consultant in Access Australia (ACAA)
  • LHA Registered Assessor (No. 10063) Livable Housing Australia
